How to Request Data Deletion

In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request the erasure of any personal data we may hold about you.

MENREELS collects minimal personal data. Where you have authenticated via Instagram OAuth, we store your Instagram username, display name, profile picture URL, biography, and associated uploaded content metadata.

Submitting a Deletion Request

To request deletion of your data, please send an email to:

Please include the following information in your request:

• Your Instagram username (if you authenticated via Instagram)
• The email address associated with your account (if applicable)
• A description of the data you wish to have deleted

What We Will Delete

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we shall delete the following data within 30 days:

• Your user profile and all associated metadata
• Your Instagram authentication tokens
• Any videos you have uploaded to the Service and all associated files (original, previews, thumbnails, posters)
• Your search history and watch history
• Any other personal data associated with your account

Data We Cannot Delete

Please note that we cannot delete:

• Anonymised analytics data that cannot be linked to you as an individual
• Data that we are legally required to retain (e.g., for compliance or legal proceedings)
• Content that was publicly sourced and is not personal data (e.g., publicly available Instagram reels indexed by our search engine)

Confirmation

We shall confirm the completion of your deletion request via email within 30 days of receipt. If we require additional information to verify your identity, we shall contact you promptly.

Automated Deletion via Instagram

If you revoke MENREELS access from your Instagram account settings (Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove), your authentication tokens will be automatically invalidated. To ensure complete deletion of your profile and uploaded content from our systems, please also submit an email request as described above.
